I am qualified as a pharmacist from Khartoum University, where I also did my PG diploma in health economics. I have an MSc in ph، armaceutical services and medicines control from University of Bradford, UK. I have comleted my PhD in 2006, in the Nottingham Trent University-UK. I have over 25 years working as a pharmacist in medicines supply management, planning of pharmaceutical services and drug regulatory affairs in Sudan. It was within this period (1992 to 2019) that I worked as a manager for RDF in Khartoum state. Then I have shifted to the Federal Directorate of Pharmacy as a manager for Pharmaceutical services and planning department. In November 2007, I have been appointed to be the secretary general of the National Medicines and Poisons Board, the Medicine Regulatory Authority of Sudan. I have experiences in varied areas in the field of pharmacy policy and regulation. I am, for example, the founder of the post graduate fellowship in managing pharmacy services in Sudan National Medical Specialization Board for the first time in the history of Sudan. I was the Director General of the National Medical Supplies Fund (NNSF). The organization is the national centre for procurement, storage and distribution of medical supplies in Sudan. The range of medical supplies at NMSF includes medicines, vaccines and other biological, medical consumables and a wide range of medical equipment. These supplies are provided to public health facilities and the private sector in addition to many other organisations. Currently, I work for a consulting British company, specialized in transformation of supply chain for medicines and other health products. I have a number of publications in the field of pharmacy practice.
